FAQs


  1.  What is SIST?
    Shifa InterScholastic Tournament (SIST) is a series of competitive events and contests designed to test and push skills such as articulation and creative writing, art and design, Islamic knowledge and athletic prowess.

  2. Who is SIST open to? What are the age limits for participants?
    SIST is open to anyone between the age of 15 - 25 years!

  3. Can I only come to watch the events and lectures?
    Yes, you can come to watch all the events and evening lectures as an audience member. 
    Tickets for the event will be available soon.

  4. I am a teacher / coach / chaperon. Do I need to register?
    Separate registration is not required. You can come and watch all the events and lectures as an audience member. If you wish to stay with your team and need lodging, kindly contact us through your Team Leader.

  5. Can I come alone and compete in one event?
    NO! You must register for SIST as a team of at least 3 participants.
    If you really cannot find people to make a team with, please contact us and we will try to figure out a solution.

  6. My school / college is not sending a team, can I participate anyways?
    Yes. SIST allows for private teams to register if your school is not allowing a team. Read the Registration Package  for further details.

  7. Does our team have to participate in ALL the events?
    NO! The only requirement is that you have a minimum of 3 participants. Each participant may compete in as many events as he wants. However, the events should not have a clash. The participants registering are required to go over the Schedule to ensure that there is no clash.

  8. What does our team need to register?
    Please read the Registration Package for full details. You need to have a Team Leader, Team Name and all the details of which team members are participating in which events. Furthermore, you must submit the Institution Permission Letter & Parent Permission Letter along with the team registration fee.

  9. How can we register? What's the process?
    - You can register online from here.
    - Or you can mail in all the forms to:

  10. What are the registration deadlines and fees? 
         Registration closes on 15th January 2019. Late registrations will only be accepted till January 25th, 2019.
         Fee: Registration Rs. 1000 plus Rs. 200 per participant (the combined fee has to be paid together)
         Late Registration Fee: Rs. 2000 plus Rs. 400 per participant

 11.   How to send the forms and money if a TEAM is from outside Islamabad/Rawalpindi? 
        All TEAMS (within and outside city) should preferably register online with us.

        If Parent Permission and/ Institution Permission forms need to be sent, they can be scanned and emailed to
        us on scmconference@gmail.com, or sent in post on the following address:

 12.  When to visit us?       
       Kindly contact us before coming and try to come during our break times, 10am-10:30am and 1pm to 2pm, Mondays to Fridays.
