Dr. Idrees Zubair

Dr. Idrees Zubair comes from a scholarly family of Multan Pakistan.
In 1977 he completed his Islamic Education from his father the (late) renowned religious scholar Abu Tayyab Shams Al Haqq Masood.
In 1980 he obtained an M.A in Arabic from the Punjab University Lahore.
In 1983 he joined the department of Usool-ud-Deen in the Islamic International University Islamabad.
In 1989 he completed his PhD in Hadeeth Sciences from Glasgow University, and in 1998 joined the Islamic Research Institute Islamabad as Associate Professor, in the department of Qur'an and Hadeeth.
In the year 2000 he was appointed as a Professor in Hadeeth and as the Chairman of the Department of Hadeeth and Seerah at Allama Iqbal Open University, but in the year 2002 he resigned due to his commitments at AlHuda.
He has played a major role in founding the Organization and has taught in its various institutes in Pakistan.
Currently he resides in Canada with his family and teaches at AlHuda Institute Canada and is also an Academic Advisor at the institute.
He has written several articles in Urdu, English and Arabic and has also authored several books.
