CATEGORY I: THE ARTS
3-D ART
Theme: Revive the Light Within: Let the Change Begin
Competition Guidelines:
1. All submissions must be three-dimensional (in the literal sense). Graphic designing is not included in this category.
2. No more than 2 students from each team can register for this competition. This competition is NOT a team effort. Each participant must submit a separate piece of artwork. No more than Rs. 2500 can be spent on supplies.
3. Artwork CANNOT take the form of human beings or animals. Plants, landscapes, and inanimate objects such as buildings etc., are allowed. However, ready-made models taken from shops will not be entertained.
3. Artwork should also be placed on a board for easy carrying. The board should be made of a material sturdy enough to carry the artwork. Participants will be responsible for bringing their own boards. The SIST Staff will not provide boards or any other material to participants on the day of the tournament.
4. All artwork must be labeled with the name of the participant, institution and team.
5. 3D art should be sturdy. Judges are looking for artwork that is well put together. Please note that your work may be moved around on several occasions and it should be robust to handle this. The SIST Staff will not be responsible for any damage caused during the transportation of artwork or under any other circumstances. Projects will be judged as they are presented to the judges regardless of any damage incurred to a participant’s work.
6. A short typed/written explanation must be submitted (max 500 words). The explanation should include what the artwork is about and what inspired the participant to make it.
7. This competition will be judged according to the SIST ARTS JUDGING BALLOT.
8. If any participant wants to take their artwork back with them, they must inform the event managers at least an hour before the competition is over; otherwise it will automatically be assumed that the participant has surrendered possession of their artwork to the SIST Committee.
PLEASE NOTE: No requests for the return of artwork will be entertained after the competition is over. The work will be considered abandoned property and ownership rights will be transferred to the SIST Committee.
